>BarZ Tours BarZ Adventures works with all types of venues and tour operators to create fun and engaging visitor experiences that utilize the latest in cutting-edge technology. Below is a small cross-section of the customers we have worked with and the solutions that our products have offered them.
Solution: All of this and more was achieved through offering GPS Ranger multimedia tours. The Independence Visitor Center Corporation (IVCC) found that the flexibility and benefits of GPS Ranger tours for historic Philadelphia were a perfect fit to help them achieve their goals and move their tourism services into the 21st century.
The compelling video, audio, historical photography and interactive trivia questions of the tours enable visitors to be entertained as they learn about the history and heritage of such sites as the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and Washington Square. And by using a real-life “Benjamin Franklin” as the tour host, the IVCC incorporated a fun twist that further connects the history of these great sites with the future of tourism!
Solution: The Ranger Series software and hardware solution offered an easy-to-use tour platform for the high school students to build their own interactive GPS tour. With BarZ’s a la carte packages, the students were able to research and write their own tour script, star as tour hosts, film the tour segments, edit the footage and put the final GPS video tour together through the online content management system, while BarZ offered limited guidance along the way. The students also created the tour’s promotional materials such as a website, kiosk exhibits and a tour logo.
Funded by the Wyoming Educational Trust Fund, the multidisciplinary project allowed students from U.S. History, Advanced Graphics, Computer Technology, Web Development, and Video classes to all contribute to different aspects of the tour creation. Outreach to different organizations in Powell to gather historic information and photographs fostered connections between the school and the greater community.
The flexible nature of the GPS Ranger system meant that a small initial installation could be designed that allows for easy expansion with additional handheld devices in the future as demand increases and additional funding becomes available.
