Americans with Disabilities Act

In 1990, the US Congress passed into law the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which "prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in employment, programs and services provided by states and local governments, goods and services provided by private companies, and in commercial facilities." (US Department of Justice, ADA)

What this may mean for your venue is that services and products offered should be adapted, through reasonable accommodation, to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities.  BarZ Adventures can help your venue prepare accessible interpretive content for the deaf or hard of hearing, blind or visually impaired and physically disabled visitors.
