BarZ Adventures is proud to offer accessible and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant multimedia tours - allowing your venue to be accessible to ALL of your visitors! Wm. Lee Little, founder of BarZ Adventures, was recently invited to testify before congress about the power of BarZ's multimedia tour guide systems to expand access to public lands for people with disabilities. Watch the video!
In 1990, the US Congress passed into law the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which "prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in employment, programs and services provided by states and local governments, goods and services provided by private companies, and in commercial facilities." (US Department of Justice, ADA) What this may mean for your venue is that services and products offered should be adapted, through reasonable accommodation, to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities. BarZ Adventures can help your venue prepare accessible interpretive content for the deaf or hard of hearing, blind or visually impaired and physically disabled visitors.
Accessibility Features:
BarZ Adventures has formed an Advisory Board to further adapt the GPS Ranger and Zoo Ranger multimedia tour guide systems to be ADA compatible for all markets. The company is committed to further improving its systems to open up accessibility to all visitors! If you have a favorite venue that you would like to see add an accessible multimedia tour, let the venue know about this new technology exists and request that a Ranger Series tour be developed to meet your needs.
