 Release date: 4/14/2008

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AUSTIN, Texas – BarZ Adventures Inc has expanded its global reach to Europe and Latin America to bring the Ranger Series of GPS guided video tour products to an international market.  The Austin, Texas based company produces location-based multimedia tours delivered through the patent-pending GPS Ranger™ and Zoo Ranger™, rugged, handheld computer devices utilizing GPS (Global Positioning System) technology for parks, zoos, college campuses and other tourist venues.   The Ranger Series of video tours is highly adaptable to any tourist venue, allowing easy content updates and tours to be delivered in any language, including sign language and captioning for visitors with special needs.  The flexible nature of the system makes it an ideal product for international tourist destinations.   A sales office in the United Kingdom, through partner Personal Guidance Systems Ltd. (PGS Ltd), serves as the new “European Home of the GPS Ranger™” bringing GPS video tours to venues across the continent.   "The European and Scandinavian tourist market is known for its rich historical and cultural treasures. The ease of use and the wide range of features of the GPS Ranger provide visitors with an experience that is informative, interactive as well as highly enjoyable,” said Bob Agnew, owner and Managing Director of PGS Ltd.   “The ease of loading content and the ability to update The GPS Ranger on a daily basis provides operators and venues with an ability to entertain visitors of all ages and interests like never before.

“It is a highly innovative product that in this internet age has the ability to allow traditional tourism venues to offer visitors a fun and informative way of spending their time and enjoying new attractions.  The GPS Ranger is exactly what the destinations all over Europe have been looking for," he concluded.

A Sales Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, Mariano Caceres, joins BarZ Adventures to assist the company in bringing the Ranger Series of products to the Caribbean, Central and South America.  Tour operators in historical cities, ancient ruins and cruise ports are a key target in this market. "The rich cultural heritage inherent in the pre and post colonial eras of this vast and diverse part of the world, as well as the seemingly endless variety of natural wonders in the forms of it's geological and ecological treasures, make the GPS Ranger the natural companion of a new breed of independent and inquisitive tourists, always seeking a new way to explore and discover a destination in a manner that is both entertaining and enriching to their travels." said Mariano Caceres, BarZ Adventures’ Sales Director – Latin American and the Caribbean. This round of international expansion marks a continued effort to bring the BarZ Adventures’ proprietary tour guide systems, combining software, hardware and tour content development, to venues around the world.  GPS Ranger tours are already available for tourists to enjoy at Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Site, Vicksburg National Military Park, Cedar Breaks National Monument, and Death Valley National Park, as well as historical city tours of Key West, Florida (through partner Go GPS Tours) and Austin, Texas (in connection with the Austin CVB).  Zoo Ranger tours are currently installed at the San Francisco Zoo, Dallas Zoo and Oklahoma City Zoo. Lee Little, BarZ Adventures founder and CEO, stated, “We are excited to expand the reach of BarZ Adventures and GPS Ranger video tours to these new regions in Latin America and the Caribbean. We will continue to look for partners that want to assist in making the GPS Ranger the global standard in modern tourism.” With the continued expansion efforts, BarZ Adventures expects to introduce GPS video tours to many more of the world’s treasures, enabling visitors the world over to enjoy exciting, educational and entertaining visitor experiences delivered through technology of the 21st century.
